Well, it looks like I caught a creative fish. Last week I was sitting outside on my patio when the thought hit me to write figurative letters to teachers of my past. Not just any letters, but confessions of what I’d done without them knowing, like cheating on my vocabulary test and asking my brother to do my class project.

Little did I know that this idea would flourish. I began thinking, what if others shared their confessions with me and I formatted them to post them online? It wasn’t a far-out idea. People have shared their lives with strangers before (think Humans of New York and Post Secret), so I filmed a TikTok video/Instagram story about the project and invited viewers to participate. I created a Google Form to make submitting easier and more anonymous. Then, I shared it on Instagram and (out of all places) LinkedIn.

So far, I have four submissions, which is more than I could hope for in a 48 hour time frame.  The first two submissions are below, and they’re by CJ Toledo and R. This is what I’m talking about!

Make sure to give this project a chance and submit your own confession here. I’m excited to see what you share!
