I took a Posca marker and drew friendly ghosts. I think I need to do it again this year.
Throwback to July 2020 when I drew ghosts on the eggs at home. I feel like I was much looser back then, creatively speaking. I was living with my parents after moving back from Boston at the start of the pandemic. I hadn’t yet met Amin and was working from home.
Ghosts were a prevalent theme in my art back then, especially the year before I left Boston. I roamed the streets not knowing where I was headed or what I wanted (I find myself here most days). I tend to be existential and since I’m an HSP (highly sensitive person), these feelings are compounded.
But that’s not the reason why I’m sharing this picture. I used to have another Instagram account for my previous blog stopped posting since I moved everything here to Cecilia Storyteller. These “old” Instagram posts serve as easy content since I don’t have to reinvent the wheel. This picture of ghost eggs is one of them.
So, if you have old pictures lying around on your phone or in an old account, reuse them! I sometimes hold myself back from doing this since I feel like I have to create new content, but I’m not a creativity machine. I need Instagram/social media to work for me, not the other way around.

Please remember that you’re not a phony if you don’t create new content all the time; that’s what they want you to believe, but it’s not true. You bring so much value whether you create new things or not. Don’t let their expectations bully you!
