Through the crack of an east-facing door, I watched the moon rise. It arose behind the hills—a beige halo illuminating the peaks, a procession of light announcing that the big wafer in the sky has arrived.

It all reminded me of the album artwork for Hossein Alizadeh’s Ney Nava.
